Read without optional memory, or choose to save your article position on this device.
The topic filter uses only the current page and does not save its selection in cookies or localStorage. A separate optional feature remembers article reading positions after consent.

Storage inventory
Reading-feature storage
- ald_privacy_v1 · first-party cookie
- Records preference version, reading choice and timestamp after a deliberate saved choice. Maximum 180 days, scoped to this website path. A later choice replaces it; browser site-data controls can remove it.
- ald_reading_v1 · localStorage
- Optional article paths, reading positions and timestamps. Initialized only after reading-position consent, including an empty record on non-article pages. Entries at least 180 days old are ignored when read. Expired entries are removed on the next saved reading-position write, where browser access permits; each such write saves at most 30 records. Reading alone does not rewrite localStorage. Rejecting or disabling the option attempts to remove the record. Unused localStorage may remain until a later saved reading-position write, rejection or removal through browser controls.
- Question type, work topic and preparation selections
- Current-page memory only. The question-building exercise does not persist these inputs; Reset removes them from the current page.
Other website technologies
The question-building exercise and reading controls do not include analytics, advertising tags or third-party media players. Other WordPress plugins, embedded content and hosting services can operate separately. Reading-preference controls govern only the reading feature; they do not control those services or establish a complete inventory of the website.
WordPress sign-in and administration may use separate authentication cookies for signed-in users. These reading controls do not remove authentication cookies, email, server logs or records at linked websites. This list describes reading-feature storage and any additional details the publisher has supplied.
Equal choices
The first-visit notice offers Accept optional, Reject optional and Settings with equal visual treatment. Optional reading memory stays off until selected. Reopen settings from the footer on any page. Rejecting or withdrawing attempts to remove this publication’s optional reading records, not unrelated website or device data.
Unavailable storage
If your browser cannot save the preference, optional memory stays off. Articles remain readable. Private browsing or browser cleanup may remove a choice and cause the notice to appear again. Browser controls can remove this site’s stored data.
Scope
These controls manage the identified reading feature, not external services. The Privacy Policy covers website delivery, search and correspondence. Your browser sends the preference cookie with matching website requests; reading positions remain in localStorage.
